This year, Motivate has partnered with Civic Alliance and Power the Polls to support safe and secure elections, offering our employees who sign up with them and work at a polling station on Election Day one day of regular pay, in addition to any pay they may receive from their local election commission. In order to ensure this process goes smoothly, if you have signed up and been chosen to work at the polls on election day please do the following:
Let your manager know that you will be working at the polls on Tuesday.
To be paid for the day, you will need to bring in proof of having worked. This could be your pay stub from the election commission, or certification from the election official at your polling station. Your manager will submit this to the payroll team for the pay to be added.
In order for this to be paid on the November 13 paycheck, you must get your proof of work to your manager by Friday, November 6. If it is received after that, you will not receive the pay for that day until November 27.
