What is it?
Pronouns are your identifying markers. Common options include he/him/his, she/her/hers, and they/them/theirs. There are also neopronouns such as xe/xem/xyr which indicate a separation from the gender binary, and they/them pronouns as a default third option.
Why set them?
Setting your pronouns helps to build an inclusive community at Motivate for gender non-conforming individuals. By setting your pronouns, even if they match your assigned sex, prevents assumption of pronouns and misgendering those with pronouns which differ from their assigned sex at birth.
How to set your pronouns?
- Login to Dayforce by going to this link or searching “Dayforce” in your preferred search engine.
- Once logged in, click “profile” located in the top left of the screen under your name.
3. You should now see "Share my pronouns" with a pencil icon located in the top left of the screen.
4. Type your pronouns into the text box in the popup window (see below).
5. As you start typing the box will suggest pronouns
a. You can also insert custom pronouns such as, "He/They"
6. If you completed this procedure correctly, your profile should now include your pronoun (example seen below)
