A payroll card, or pay card, is a pre-paid debit card that you can have all or part of your paycheck deposited onto. A pay card is a great alternative to direct deposit or a paper check. If you're interested in direct deposit instead we have instructions on that process here.


Use the steps below to order and set up a pay card through Dayforce


Note: If you need help logging into Dayforce reach out to your manager. Once you log in please set up your security questions to receive automated password resets in the future by using these instructions.


1. From the home page navigate to Profile & Settings and select Forms


2. Under Personal select Request Payroll Card. Ensure your address and phone number and correct and click Submit


3. Once you have received your card in the mail, go back into Forms.  Under Personal select Authorize Instant Issue Payroll Card, enter the card number and click Submit


4. To add the card to your direct deposit, under Personal select Direct Deposit. Click +Add, and select in the Pay Method drop-down menu choose Payroll Card.  Your card information will auto-populate. Click Submit


5. Call the phone number on the card to activate your card and set up your ATM PIN.

1. Can I cash out funds on my card?

Yes, you may cash out the balance on your card at any participating MasterCard bank locations.


2. Can I check my balance for free?

Yes. There are four options for you to check your balance.

  • Register for an account through www.cardholder.comdata.com
  • Call 1-888-265-8228
  • Enroll to receive free text messages by calling the number above
  • Use the Comdata Prepaid mobile app


3. I cannot activate my card. What should I do?

You must ensure that you authorize your card in your Dayforce profile and set it up as your Direct Deposit method

before you try activating your card. See instructions given above.


4. Can I make purchases with my card?

Yes, you can use your card to make purchases at any location that displays the MasterCard brand. You may use your Comdata account online to look up the locations of MasterCard ATMs near you.


5. Is there always a fee to use an ATM?

No, you will not be charged a fee for using an ATM that has the Allpoint, MoneyPass, or Regions Bank logo. you can access a list of these ATMs by calling 1-888-265-8228 or by visiting www.cardholder.comdata.com.
