Annual PTO should be used by December 31st.

In the event that your accrued PTO has not been fully used by December 31st, you may carryover no more than forty (40) accrued but unused PTO hours; these forty (40) carryover PTO hours must be used by the following March 31st or will be forfeited.*

You may schedule PTO for the coming year, but PTO requests that occur in the next year will be deducted from the balance available at the time the PTO is taken - not from the balance in the year they are requested.

You can find your PTO balance, review PTO accrual rates and request to use PTO in Dayforce.

If you additional questions about PTO carryover please contact your manager.

* Please note that in certain states, such as California, the foregoing limitation on the number of PTO days that may be carried over does not apply. Instead, in California and states where PTO may not be forfeited, you will not lose any accrued PTO days but your PTO accrual will be adjusted until you take some PTO time to bring your accrued PTO balance below the requisite limit.
